Para pelajar yg telah didedahkan dengan pembelajaran hand on dpt mempraktikan kemahiran dlm pertandingan ini....pertandingan kali ini meletakkan batu-bata pecah sebagai bahan utama.

Para pelajar dikehendaki menyediakan bangku mengikut ukuran yg telah ditetapkan.

TERMS IN BRICK WORK

1. Header & stretcher course
bata ini disambung secara mendatar & mengufuk. biasanya ikatan sisi bata, ikatan kepala bata, ikatan inggeris dan ikatan flemish.

2. Vertical joint
merupakan susunan bata yg diikat secara menegak dan berselang antara satu sama lain. sambungan in biasanya terdapat pada struktur binaan pada tiang lurus.

3. Bed joints
jarak mendatar bagi tindihan bata sebelah atas dan bata sebelah bawah. biasanya bata diikat dengan berlekap 1/4 bata ataupun 1/2 bata. sambungan ini terdapat pada tembok L & T.

4. Quoin
sambungan berbentuk L & biasanya dibuat sebagai tiang & tepi bangunan. sambungan batanya disusun secara berselang-seli @ bertindih antara satu sama lain.

5. Stop end
sesuatu tembok yg penjurunya dihentikan (disiapkan untuk secara menegak) ini adalah berlainan dengan tembok yg bersudut. di mana hujungnya berakhir dengan keadaan yang lurus serta tiada pembinaan lagi selepasnya.

6. Toothing
semasa membina tembok, pepenjuru @ hujung tegaknya tidak disiapkan terus tetapi ditinggalkan 1/4 bata @ 1/2 bata pada lapisan yang berselangseli, memberikan bentuk bergerigi. tujuannya adalah untuk memudahkan kerja penyambungan pada masa hadapan.

7. Racking
bata-bata ini disambungkan secara biasa iaitu dengan ikatan kepala bata & menggunakan batu bata yg tertentu dan sesuai. sambungan ini biasanya dibuat di atas kerangka. contohnya bagi ikatan bata di atas kerangka pintu @ tingkap.
